Small notebooks containing miscellaneous figures, addresses, titles of books on religion or art history, thoughts on religion and philosophy, and miscellaneous notes, some of which may have belonged to Randle H. Powley, a student of Schmidt's at Cornell University. Also, photocopies of letters and articles primarily concerning Colgate University and Schmidt's dismissal from that institution. Correspondents include Rev. Walter Rauschenbusch and Samuel Colgate, President of the Baptist Education Society of New York State.
