Biographical / Historical

Professor of public finance. Born in 1894, M. Slade Kendrick received a Ph.D from Cornell in 1942 and joined the Cornell University faculty in 1924, becoming a full professor in 1940; in the mid-1930s he was also head tax consultant and chief of the Ways and Means Section of the Agricultural Adjustment Administration. He retired in 1962 and died in Ithaca, New York in 1980.
