Cole of Havana, Chemung County (now Montour Falls, Schuyler County), New York, concerning the Elmira and Corning Line.

Also, appraiser's inventories of possessions of the Atwater Family, signed by Henry D. Barto, notary public; legal papers concerning Ralph C. Markham, including litigation concerning his guardianship, and sale of his Michigan land to Ira Davenport; correspondence between A. G. Day of London and George E. Yarrington and J. F. Bradley of Trumansburg, Tompkins County, New York, concerning the proposed Continental Railroad to be built in New Jersey and Pennsylvania; and Smith's correspondence with the Aetna Life Insurance Co., Hartford, Connecticut, the Charter Oak Life Insurance Co., the Home Insurance Co., New York, New York. Also, material concerning canal cargo policies; and Court Martial Records of the National Guard of the State of New York, 50th Regiment, Tompkins County, New York, 1866, J. DeMotte Smith, court president and Henry D. Barto, colonel.
