Scope and content

Notebooks of John Sterrett, containing his research records from Asia Minor. Includes notebooks containing inscriptions, road notes, field and expense books concerning archaeological expeditions to Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Assos: some notes are in Greek. Also Sterrett's Ph.D. thesis from the University of Munich, 1880: "Eine Untersuchung uber die funf grosseren homerischen Hymen" (Investigation of the five hymns of Homer).
