Includes correspondence, primarily of Isaac Rutherford Coe (1828-1883), as a student at Cazenovia Seminary, as an employee of Lake Erie Female Seminary, and as an agent for the United States Army, with family members, including mother, Nancy Barker Coe (1802-1885), and sister Sarah Maria, later Mrs. William Rockwell Burnham, (1826-1902); other letters, mostly to Nancy Coe, from relatives and friends; photographs and daguerreotypes of Burnham family members and others; diaries of William Burnham and Etta Burnham; account books; autograph books; certificates; genealogical materials pertaining to Coe, Barker, and Burnham families; materials relating to Madison and Cazenovia, Madison County, New York, Painesville, Lake County, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio; and printed items, including newspapers, religious works, lineage charts, and local histories. Includes ROOFS AGAINST THE RAIN, a history of Madison County, by Marian Susan Porter Olin, with photocopies of comments about the book.
