Professional papers consist largely of scripts for radio broadcasts including five-minute newscasts; Mutual Broadcasting System programs; Wall Street Reports; Plain Table Programs; and other shows. Also, television newscasts and scripts; news material for the 1933 inauguration of President Franklin Roosevelt; war front material from the Korean War; Dwight D. Eisenhower campaign materials, speeches, and inauguration data; fan mail; certificates for service to broadcasting since 1928; and publicity pictures. Also, personal material including correspondence; reminiscences beginning with his childhood as the son of missionary parents in Burma; financial reports; newspaper clippings; photographs; scrapbooks; and tape recorded news programs.
