Biographical / Historical

Edward S. Foster was Executive Secretary of the New York State Farm Bureau from 1929-1967. He was executive secretary of the New York State Conference Board of Farm Organizations for 37 years. He served on many school boards and education-related committees, including the Lansing Board of Education, the White House Conference on Education in 1941, State Council on Economic Education, and the Regents Council on Adjustment of High School Education from 1949 through 1956. He was area director, vice president, and in 1965, president of the State School Boards Association. Cornell University Class of 1925.
