Scope and content

Tape and transcript of an interview, 1967; transcript of an interview, 1968; video recording about photography; and nine photographs relating to the video recording. Interviews cover McMaster's association with Cornell as a student and as a trustee, and with the Eastman Kodak Company from the time he joined it in 1917 until he retired. Also twelve mounted color photographs of various scenes including Nassau, Rio de Janeiro, London, and a rural scene taken by McMaster. Also, correspondence (1963-1975) with Dale Corson and others; and a tape recording of Edward J. Trethaway's recollection of McMaster.

Biographical / Historical

Donald McMaster (Cornell University Class of 1916) was a photographer who joined Eastman Kodak Company in 1917 and eventually became chairman of the executive committee of the company (1958), and a member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees. An exhibit of some of his photographs was held at Cornell University in October, 1967.
