Content Description

The collection consists of mail from fans sent to the band's Maumee, Ohio Post Office Box between ca 1980 and 1985. Includes approximately 246 pieces of mail from across the United States, including one from Alaska accompanied by an Alaskan hardcore flyer from 1983, and some letters from other countries such as Canada, Finland, and Italy. Most are still in their envelopes, and many include artwork, scene reports, or enclosures such as flyers.

Biographical / Historical

Necros was an early American hardcore punk band from Maumee, Ohio. They were the first band to record on Touch and Go Records. Frequently associated with the Detroit, Michigan music scene, the band formed in mid-1979 and broke up in 1987.
