Content Description
Collection includes 9 flyers (mostly FL but one from CBGB) for shows at venues including the Agora and Casbah, a fanzine that features the band on the cover, a newspaper article, a few photographs by Debbie Baylis Sunshine with a couple photo proof sheets (some featuring Johnny Depp with Lisa Nash), and a handful of receipts documenting the band’s road trips across Florida to sell copies of their record to local shops.

Biographical / Historical
Screaming Sneakers were a band from Southern Florida who blurred the lines between punk, new wave, and power pop. They featured Lisa Nash (vocals), Mark Evans (drums), Bud Gangemi (bass), and Gary Sunshine (guitar). The band formed in 1979 and later moved to NYC, releasing one, celebrated 12" record “Marching Orders” in 1982 before breaking up in 1983. Lisa Nash once dated Johnny Depp who was into the early 80s Florida punk scene. The singer and guitarist are deceased.
