Collection contains the records of the foremost benefactor statue, a small copy of the statue created by Eliot Goldfinger of Ezra Cornell on the Cornell Arts Quad. It was given by the university to those donors who have been most generous to Cornell since its creation in 1865. Names are commemorated on plaques on a terrace adjacent to McGraw Tower, and information is also recorded in a volume: The Builders of Cornell: A Record of Cornell University's Foremost Benefactors. Included in the collection is a pamphlet titled "The Statue of Ezra Cornell", which describes the building of the original statue by Hermon Atkins MacNeil and the sculptural reduction by Goldfinger. Statues included in the collection are: the original polyester resin cast made by Eliot Goldfinger (MU-4693, Box 1); statue presented Carl A. Kroch (Mu-1108); statue presented to Thomas and Kerstin Baird (MU-4694); statue in tribute to Jane Knauss and Robert Croll Stevens (MU-4695).
