Content Description
Collection contains Herbert Putnam's running cleats (MU-4649), track suit (MU-4647, MU-4648) from the 1912 Olympics, Cornell Athletics track shirt and shorts (MU-4645, MU-4646), Gargoyle Society charm (MU-4651) (all in box 3); loose pamphlets and photographs from the 1912 Olympics, and two photograph albums. One album contains photographs largely of Cornell University campus, dorm rooms, and various sports (namely baseball and track and field.) The other album contains many photographs of the United States Olympic athletes in transit to Sweden, as well as family and friends.

Herbert Nathan Putnam graduated from Cornell University in 1912. He was captain of the track team, and competed for Cornell in the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.
