1. “Notes from Card Catalogue and Date Book 1986 – 1988”. National Brand. Spiral bound. 10 X 8. 80 leaves, 80 pages. Includes Morrisroe’s notes on Mapplethorpe’s shooting diary 1986 – 1987. Also, Morrisroe’s notes on Mapplethorpe’s writings/drawings the day before he passed away ca. 1989. 2. [47] spiral bound notebooks and legal pads containing Morrisroe’s notes. These notebooks are predominantly interview notebooks, many of which have been transcribed (see boxes 9-11). In addition, notebooks include those on Mapplethorpe’s loft, artist Jack Walls, photographer Lynn Davis, notes on photographs and Mapplethorpe’s commercial work.

Box 2 restricted until 2035. Access to audio visual materials is restricted until digitization is complete. Due to the fragility and potential degradation of moving image and sound recordings, viewing and listening is limited to items that have been digitized. If an item is in another media format, you may request to have the item digitized for access. Access to digitized audio visual materials is limited to on-site in the RMC reading room until 2035.
