Folder includes original letter from Robert Mapplethorpe on Mapplethorpe stationary (dated Nov. 10, 1988) authorizing Morrisroe as his biographer; original Random House contracts; correspondence between Kathy Robbins, Morrisroe’s agent, and Carol Judy Leslie, Mapplethorpe’s agent, setting forth the terms of the agreement between Morrisroe and Mapplethorpe; memorandums of payment from Random House;letter from Mapplethorpe’s lawyer, Michael Ward Stout, stating Stout’s decision not to enter into a participation agreement with Morrisroe.
