 Sub-Series

Scope and Contents

"(Note: As in some other Dayak groups, such as the Bidayuh, Kelabit names change several times in the course of a lifetime, generally at parenthood and grandparenthood. Some names given on the tape are not the same as those printed in the publications noted. Both names are given when possible (the Kelabit change names entirely, both first and second). When in doubt, the name as attributed to the singer with the printed song is given here.) "
