"Color, glossy. First visit to Long Apu (with Malaria Inspection Team), 16 Sept. 1985: Crowd is gathered on the verandah. Children smoke early, only one attends the primary school. Community is demoralized and malnourished, since game has disappeared in logged forests, their traditional hunting and gathering areas."
