Folk Literature Lists and Bibliography, 1970 - 1991
Scope and Contents
"Enclosed are two lists of folk literature papers and a Bibliography (amended by a Bibliography with Revisions): 1. Papers published in the Sarawak Museum Journal from Vol. I, 1911 to Vol. XVII, 1970. 2. List of Borneo Literature Bureau publications of Dayak folklore. The Borneo Literature Bureau became defunct about 1976, replaced by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, a federal agency for language and literature, primarily Malay. This list was sent to me by Dr. Otto Steinmayer, an American scholar teaching English at the University of Malaya in 1989–1990 and for some years following. 3. "The Borneo Literature Bureau: Publications in Iban and Other Bornean Languages," Otto Steinmayer, Borneo Research Bulletin, Vol. 22 (2), September 1990: 114–129. Also, "Revisions to the Bibliography of BLB Books," Otto Steinmayer, Borneo Research Bulletin, Vol. 23, 1991: 128–129."
