Scope and Contents

Includes articles of agreement, 1835, between Juinius R. Hatch and a number of businessmen of Utica, in which Hatch agrees to act as agent to explore and invest in lands in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana. A total of over $40,000 was placed at Hatch's disposal. Benjamin Tibbits, James Seymour and Charles Livingston are among the business men involved.
