Scope and Contents
Series contains architectural and other drawings by William Hull Botsford. The majority of the drawings in this series are of train stations that Botsford designed for the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad in New York and New Jersey. Also present are earlier architectural studies completed as part of Botsford’s coursework at Cornell, including one that won an award from the College of Architecture. Additionally, the series includes a design for a YMCA building in Summit, New Jersey; a sketch of the artist’s boyhood home in Millport, New York; sketches of classical statues; two cartoons; and a framed copy of the 1910 Cornellian cover, illustrated by Botsford, in addition to other sketches and studies.
