This series contains materials from D'Emilio's years in New York City, where he lived until 1983. Subjects include New Action Party, the Gay Academic Union, Day Care Forum, Gay Cuban refugees, Fund for the Community, and Before Stonewall documentary film. Also present are files of correspondence, CVs, job and grant applications, dissertation materials, and a variety of talks D'Emilio gave and articles written in the late 1970s and early 1980s (including talks at Harvard and the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences (Stanford), 1982).
