Early Recollections of Attica, N.Y. by James Sibley Tolles is a 1937 reprint which originally appeared in the Attica News in April 1874. Tolles recounts the history of the town and its inhabitants. History of Bennington, 1802-1877 is Tolles' account of the settlement in Bennington, Genesee County, N.Y. Tolles is a colorful and anecdotal writer as he describes the travels and triumphs of early settlers in both communities.
