Three letters from Robert G. Sherer to his friend, Henry Barbier: a general letter commenting on the Ithaca scenery, October 7, 1879; college news, a freshman-sophomore competition, and religious freedom at Cornell; and the election of Alonzo Cornell as governor of New York State and the campus celebration of the event, Halloween mischief perpetrated by the Cornell students, and the scenery of Ithaca and Cayuga Lake area. Also, two cabinet card photographs of Sherer.
