Scope and content

Reminiscences concerning the Ebenezer Community (Community of True Inspiration, later the Amana Society) on the Seneca Indian Reservation and describing its dealings with the Ogden Land Company and the Seneca Indians, its members' continuing emigration from Germany and the hardships they endured from epidemics and natural disasters, and the structure and organization of their three original buildings.

Dates: 1842-1855.
